0.3.0 beta

ApexTrace 0.3.0 beta — voice engineer, driver progression and new profile features

With update 0.3.0, ApexTrace becomes a more complete companion for practice and racing. The app can now provide voice updates during a session, recognise your successes, offer specific training goals and keep a history of your development as a driver. There are more ways to customise your profile, track personal bests and publish sessions on the website.

The update covers the whole journey, from discovering the app to reviewing your latest practice: getting started is easier, race information is available by voice, and after the finish you can assess your results and choose your next goal.

1. A voice engineer during your session

ApexTrace now has a voice engineer who reports events on track and helps you follow the race. Get the information you need by voice while keeping your attention on driving.

The engineer can report lap times, gaps to a reference, best results, remaining laps, fuel range, tyre temperatures, pit stops and the finish. Position updates, comparisons with the previous lap and stint pace are also available. You choose which notifications you need in your sessions.

This lets you tailor the guidance to your driving. For a relaxed practice, keep lap times and personal-best announcements. For a long session, add fuel and pit-stop information. For a closer view of your pace, enable lap comparisons and sector results.

A fuel-range estimate appears after a complete lap in which the app could measure consumption. The engineer can then help you understand how many laps your remaining fuel will cover.

Voice guidance is available in eight languages: Russian, Ukrainian, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese. Several languages offer a choice of voices.

Messages have a race-radio sound. Speech and signal volume can be adjusted separately to find a comfortable balance with the game audio.

The engineer can now address you by your driver name. Enter a name or nickname in settings, and it will be used in suitable messages. You can preview both the selected voice and the name before starting a session.

2. Driver levels and experience from practice

Profiles now have a level system. Your sessions contribute to an overall progression history: completed laps, finished goals and unlocked achievements earn experience.

Each complete lap you drive and record earns experience. Even practice without a new personal best contributes to your profile's development. You keep progressing while working on your pace and confidence on track.

Your profile shows your current level, progress towards the next and how different activities contribute to the total. You can see how much experience came from laps, training goals and achievements.

Earned experience is retained between app launches. Deleting a session from the archive does not remove rewards or progress you have already earned.

3. Training goals with clear outcomes

Dedicated training goals have been added. Before a session, choose a task and focus on a particular skill: consistency, improving a personal best, working on a sector or maintaining pace over a long distance.

Goals include runs of laps with a small time spread, beating an existing record by half a second, setting several new personal bests and increasing your pace towards the end of a session. To work on individual parts of a circuit, choose goals for improving a sector or repeating a result close to your best.

Each selected goal shows its completion condition. You can see what to aim for in advance and follow your progress in your profile.

This gives your practice a specific direction. For example, dedicate a session to steady pace, then look for a faster lap, and use the next session to consolidate a strong sector.

Completed goals earn experience. Finished tasks stay in your history, and repeatable goals can be started again for further practice.

The voice engineer can also congratulate you on completing a goal. You can enable or disable this notification alongside the other messages.

4. Achievements for different aspects of racing

The update adds achievements for distance covered, exploring circuits, consistency, personal bests and community participation.

The system recognises different kinds of success. Earn rewards for accumulated laps, consistent runs, improved results and published sessions. This gives your profile a broader picture of your activity.

Achievements unlock automatically when their conditions are met. View earned rewards and the full list in your profile to choose your next milestone.

Some rewards can be earned repeatedly. New records, consistent runs and long sessions can earn experience again, keeping familiar practice worthwhile after an achievement's first unlock.

5. A profile that reflects your achievements

Your profile has new customisation options. Choose an earned title, pin up to three unlocked achievements and add an avatar frame.

Titles reflect your successes as a driver. There are options for fans of consistent pace, record hunters, circuit explorers, community members and drivers who cover long distances.

Pinned achievements highlight the results that matter most to you. Show off your first important record, a consistency milestone or an endurance award.

Eight avatar frames have been added, unlocking as you level up. From the first available designs to the champion frame, your profile's appearance becomes another reflection of your experience. You can also keep your avatar without a frame.

Your selected title, frame and pinned achievements appear on your public website profile. They also help present you as the author alongside your published sessions.

6. Sign in and publish sessions from the app

You can now sign in to your account directly in ApexTrace. The sign-in window also includes a registration link to help new users create a profile.

You can access your profile and publish sessions on the website from the app. After practice, select a session and share the result from the familiar interface.

Publishing is now part of the achievement system, with rewards for your first contributions and continued community participation.

Account progress synchronises with the website. Your driver level, earned rewards and chosen profile appearance connect your practice in the app with your public profile.

You decide which sessions to publish. Saving account progress does not make your entire local archive public.

7. Better-organised personal bests

Personal bests are now grouped by circuit and car category. This makes it easier to find a relevant reference and assess results within the appropriate group.

The record card retains the car used to set the best lap. When you return to a circuit after other practice, you can see which car achieved that result.

A history of record improvements has been added. Follow the sequence of successes and see how your best result has changed over time.

This history is especially useful when working on one circuit over an extended period: you can see individual improvements gradually add up to noticeable progress.

8. Session summaries and progress comparisons

Your profile now includes a summary of the latest session and ways to compare progress. After the finish, it is easier to assess your practice, check goal progress and review new personal bests.

This helps connect a completed session with your next steps. If you completed the task, choose a new target. If you have not reached the result yet, continue working on the same skill.

Goal history, achievements and record improvements complement each other. Together, they let you assess development across several sessions and notice successes that a single best lap might not show.

9. Easier lap comparison

Session selection for comparisons has been improved. The app automatically selects the best lap from the second session you choose, helping you get to the analysis sooner.

The reference lap is highlighted more clearly. During analysis, it is easier to see which result serves as the benchmark and follow the comparison.

Controls and session selection have been updated. These changes make everyday work with the archive and lap comparisons easier to understand.

10. First-launch guidance and section help

A first-launch tutorial has been added for new users. It introduces the main ApexTrace features and helps you become familiar with the app before getting started.

Sections now include detailed tips. Open the explanations whenever needed, such as when comparing laps for the first time or choosing a training goal.

Sidebar indicators and controls have been improved. The app's status is easier to assess during everyday use.

These changes also help existing ApexTrace users: new features are easier to learn when explanations are available alongside the relevant section.

11. Convenient voice setup

Voices download when you first use the engineer. A progress indicator is shown during preparation, while session recording and result analysis remain available.

After downloading, voice guidance works without a permanent internet connection. Downloaded voices are retained when the app is updated, so setup does not need to be repeated after every update.

Before your first session with the engineer, choose a language, preview the voice, adjust the volume and keep only the messages you need. This helps you prepare comfortable voice guidance for practice and races.
