Guide

Before installing

Windows 10/11 x64 and WebView2 are required. The installer can download WebView2. Python, Node.js and Rust are not needed. Installation is per-user.

Connect your PC and PS5 to the same local network. Install and start ApexTrace, drive in GT7 and complete a lap. Allow gt7-backend.exe through the firewall only on private networks.

Sharing sessions and laps

Export a session as ZIP/JSON or a single lap as JSON from ApexTrace. Sign in here, choose your own title and select the file. Other players download the JSON and import it in the application's Sessions view.

Maximum 16 MiB, 100 laps and 100,000 points. CSV and incomplete laps are not accepted. The original ZIP is replaced by a cleaned JSON. Your personal archive is never transferred automatically.

Archive and backup

Close ApexTrace before updating or manually backing up the archive. Application data is stored separately from the installation: %LOCALAPPDATA%\app.gt7telemetria.desktop

If your PS5 is not found

Check VPN, guest Wi-Fi, firewall and other telemetry receivers. UDP 33740 receives data; 33739 is for heartbeat. Restart GT7 and return to the track. Do not expose these ports to the internet.
