Pit stops
0.1.4 beta
ApexTrace 0.1.4 beta
Pit stops
- Added pit-stop detection without manually marking tracks: entry, stop and exit phases, their durations, fuel added and inferred tyre changes.
- The panel opens automatically when pit entry or a stop is detected and stays open until the end of the out-lap. It can be collapsed manually; switching sections preserves its state.
- Fixed a single race being split into multiple sessions when continuation after a pit stop is confirmed. Incomplete laps are not used as complete recordings or reference laps.
Lap analysis
- Added analysis of the three sections with the greatest time loss against another compatible lap.
- Selecting a section zooms the charts and map together. The best suitable comparison lap can be selected; manual A/B comparison remains available.
Interface
- Made the dashboard more compact: engine and tyre panels have equal heights, as do the pedals and G-force panels. Spacing is consistent; the current-lap panel no longer stretches neighbouring rows.
- Deleting a session or lap now requires confirmation in a centred dialog styled to match the app. Cancel is selected by default; Esc and the close button work. Double-clicking does not send duplicate deletion requests.
- The Windows application starts maximized, retaining normal window controls and the taskbar.
- New interface elements and release notes are available in all 11 supported languages.
Limitations
- Pit-stop boundaries are inferred from telemetry, not official pit-lane lines. Total duration is not the time lost against a normal lap. A dash is shown when data is insufficient; tyre changes are inferred indirectly from temperatures.
- The detector has been tested on two recorded pit stops: one with refuelling and one without. Operation on every track and in every mode is not guaranteed; passing through without service may go undetected.
- Pit-stop events are currently available only during the live session and are not saved to the archive or included in exports.
- Loss analysis shows time differences over sections, not a proven cause of the loss. Suitable complete lap recordings are required.
