APEXTRACE / 0.1.6 BETA
ApexTrace 0.1.6 — Release notes
Changes
0.1.6 beta
ApexTrace 0.1.6 beta
Changes
- Added an explicit mode for recording telemetry from GT7 replays, including other drivers' laps. Replay recordings are kept separate from normal driving and do not update your personal bests.
- Replay recording supports a session name, driver name, status display and manual start/stop. Only validated complete laps are saved; unfinished fragments are discarded.
- Track and layout identification for replays is automatic only. Direction checks distinguish forward and reverse layouts and also improve identification during normal driving. Uncertain tracks remain unidentified.
- Improved tolerance to small packet losses and delivery jitter during replay recording. Missing packets are counted; large gaps, discontinuities and unreliable lap boundaries still invalidate the affected lap. Missing telemetry is not fabricated.
- The archive identifies replay sessions and supports filtering by recording source and searching by driver. Import and export preserve the recording source, driver and available packet-loss counts.
- Improved sector timing: boundaries are interpolated, the lap origin and direction are accounted for, and completed sectors agree with the accepted lap time. The dashboard theoretical best uses only complete, valid sector sets with a compatible calculation basis.
- During trajectory and telemetry playback, the selected turn follows the car, including across the start/finish line. Manual selection pauses and seeks; the whole-lap trajectory view remains an overview.
- Section-loss cards now show each section's A/B times and their local difference. B boundaries are matched to the same physical locations as A; losses accumulated before entry are excluded. Removed the whole-lap total from the section header and improved selected-card contrast.
Limits
Play replays continuously at normal speed without seeking, pausing or changing the viewed car. Recording needs an observed lap start and a validated finish. Support is not guaranteed for every replay mode. Where official GT7 sector boundaries are unavailable, sectors are estimated distance thirds; these values and the derived theoretical best are marked approximate. Existing archived laps are not recalculated. The full-lap delta chart remains cumulative.
Updating
Windows x64. Finish your run, export important sessions and close ApexTrace before installing. Do not run multiple telemetry receivers at once. The installer includes an OTA signature, not a Windows Authenticode signature; SmartScreen warnings are possible.

Known limitations
Beta · not Windows code-signed. This is a beta. SmartScreen may warn about an unknown publisher. Do not disable Windows protection; verify the source and SHA-256 checksum.
