Welcome to the ApexTrace developer blog

Updates, plans and the story behind the project.

This blog is where I will share ApexTrace updates, explain new features and talk about development.

ApexTrace helps you look beyond a lap time and examine your driving in Gran Turismo 7. With GT7 on PS5 and a Windows computer on the same local network, the desktop application can receive telemetry and compare two selected laps, A and B. Neither selection has to be your fastest lap.

You can also open a public session on the website and explore one selected lap in the browser, including on a phone. Comparing two laps is a separate workflow in the Windows application. The Guide contains a worked example based on a real public session.

For a first analysis, focus on one corner. Look at speed, braking and throttle at the same place on the track. A faster lap tells you the overall result; the traces help locate differences. A graph alone does not prove why a particular driving choice gained or lost time.

You will also find practical guides for connecting GT7 and using telemetry. Planned features will be clearly identified as plans; available features will be described separately.
